Love and Loss

I just contacted a past lover… Have you ever been so glad that you ended something that was bound to be a reckless waste of time?  Well that’s pretty much what happened.  I have such a hard time letting people out of my life, but as if it is just the same, letting people in is nearly just as difficult.  I have commitment issues but just when I think I am independently stabilized I realize that I have somee deeply rooted dependencies.

It’s going to be a tough month without Adam, but perhaps I need him to be ripped away from me so I can have some important parts of me scarred over.

I met someone today who talked like a buzzed weekend, and who mannerisms were like that of a high school cliche I was in, but his eyes were angled like yours.

I have a hard time letting people go, I have come to that understanding today, but this is ridiculous.  You walk around like things were always yours, your arrogance is obnoxious, and your whole being strives to contradict the world; you will not be a part of it.  Your nettle your “friends” till the don’t see a point in having you steal them from their lives with such little gratitude.

Can you ever change for the better?

Local musicians Jonathan Seeley (Silvering, Only the Sea, the Holy Rifles) and Adam Thoms (More Amore) are loading up the Subaru and hitting the dusty trails of the north woods for 13 midwestern performances. The tour starts off with More Amore’s E.P. release at the House of Rock on November 12th and Cafe 420 (for the …all ages crowd) on November 13th, and will also feature Feathe, Survive the Drive, HiTide, LoTide, Charles Morgan, and other local singer/songwriters. The next leg of the journey brings them all over the midwest, leaving their wives bedside and alone for a time and a half. The boys are counting the days with x’s on the calendar as they wait for their hometown to send them off into the cold north western wood for an exhilarating week away.
